Alien Stamping Nail Art

Hello Readers:

I looooved my mani with Midnite Meteor from Picture Polish, but I knew, I KNEW that I had to use my new MoYou scifi stamping plates on this polish. I think that I did pretty good for my second time using my stamper. It's still not perfect, but I'm definitely in love with this mani!

I used Picture Polish "Midnite Meteor", and BB Couture "Laguna Lagoon" along with MoYou scifi plates 1 & 3 to get my aliens, stars, and astronaut. Love love love this! I know the lighting isn't great in all the pictures but I found the more light I had, the more glare I caught on my nails so I had to go with darker lighting.

There are a couple of flaws from my stamping, but overall I think it is great, and so much fun! I'm kind of in love with my scifi MoYou plates. I may need to buy more in the future, and as I improve with my stamping abilities it gets more and more fun to do!

If you would like to get your hands on these AWESOME stamping plates you can get them from MoYou London, and if you would like either of these lovely polishes you can get them from BB CouturePicture PolishOverallBeauty or Llarowe.

Until next time.

Review: "Midnite Meteor" from Picture Polish

Hello Readers:

Wooo! I have another GORGEOUS polish to show you today! It is another beauty from Picture Polish. Today's Picture Polish is "Midnite Meteor". Picture Polish collaborated with DoBeauting, to create this gorgeous navy holo polish that was inspired by the lapis lazuli gemstone which reminded them of a meteor shower during a Barcelona summer night. This polish is also one of their 5free polishes (Yay!)

Isn't that sparkle spectacular?!?! I love a good navy, but wow! This polish is super gorgeous and I can't stop staring at my nails! This polish went on like a dream, and you could probably wear it with just one coat. I've used two coats with no top coat. I also think that this polish is a great platform for me to use my new stamping plates. So be on the look out for my next post to see what I did with this amazing navy polish!

If you would like to own this beauty you can get it directly from Picture Polish's website in Australia, or you can get it from one of their US stockists: OverallBeauty or Llarowe. For those not in the US, Picture Polish has a list of their other stockists on their website.

Until next time.

Review: "Antique" from Picture Polish

Hello Readers:

I have something pretty amazing for you today (if I do say so myself lol), and just an fyi this post will be slightly pic heavy. Today I have "Antique" from Picture Polish, and boy is this one amazing!!! It is a little hard to describe because I've found it has so many different depths to it depending on the lighting, but essentially this is a dusky violet polish packed with mini silver glitter.

This description is accurate at certain angles and in certain light, but at others this polish is just POW with a deeper violet. I cannot say enough good things about this polish! Seriously, I think this will be one I use rather often, and I'm already starting to think of ways to use it in nail art (though I haven't decided on what yet). I used two coats over a clear base, and a clear top coat

Isn't is just GORGEOUS?!?! I adore it! <3 It has so much personality to it. In the close-ups of my thumb it shows that there might even be some purple and black glitter in there as well.  I really can't say enough good things about this polish.

If you would like to add this beauty to your collection you can get it straight from the Aussie source at Picture Polish's website or you can obtain it through one of their US stockists: OverallBeauty or Llarowe

Until next time.

My Second Stamping Attempt

Hello Readers:

I'm sorry I wasn't able to get this done in time for my post yesterday, but today I have my second attempt at stamping to show you. It turned out fairly decent I think. It is not perfect by no means, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of the technique.

In this mani I used Girly Bits' "Peel Here, and Darling Diva Polish's "Rose Diamond", and used a clear top coat to go over it. For the stamping I used stamping plate: MASH-43.

Overall I'm enjoying the stamping technique and can't wait to try out more designs! What are some of your favorite stamping plates?

Until next time

Review: "Peel Here" from Girly Bits

Hello Readers:

Today has been super busy. I was able to do a mani on my nails, but have run out of time to do the stamping I wanted to try out. So I decided that I will show you the mani I've done with "Peel Here" and then in my next post I will show you my stamping mani that I will attempt later.

"Peel Here" is a dove grey polish that leans towards purple in certain light, and has a smattering of shimmer and holo finish that Girly Bits has dubbed "shimmolo" lol. It truly is classically beautiful with some fun shimmer.

I really love this understated shimmer to this polish. It is a nice earthy tone worn by itself, but can be pumped up with a glitter topper or some bright colored nail art. Definitely a keeper in my opinion. I have an idea for a grey skittles mani that I want to do in the future and this will definitely be a part of it.

If you'd like to get your hands on this polish (or one of their other great polishes) head on over to the Girly Bits website

Until next time.

Review: "More Cowbell" from Girly Bits

Hello Readers:

I have a fun and beautiful treat for you today! ^_^ A polish from Girly Bits' Fall 2013 SNL inspired collection. It is called "More Cowbell" and was inspired by the SNL skit of the same name  (I posted a Youtube video below of part of the skit. I couldn't find the whole thing unfortunately).

"More Cowbell" is a steel blue gray tightly scattered holo with blue flakies, and boy does it sparkle! I used 3 coats over a clear base, and 1 clear top coat. You probably only need 2 coats, but I used 3 as I had missed some spots on my nails.

Isn't it just stunning?!? This polish is so gorgeous! I absolutely adore the color, and has definitely put itself on my favorites list. If you'd like to get your hands on this beautiful blue polish go check out Girly Bits' website, for this and many other beautiful polishes.

Until next time.

Review: "Every Thine, Ever Mine" from Dollish Polish

Hello Readers:

Happy Belated Valentine's Day. I wanted to have this post up yesterday but I just had one of those days where I got behind and couldn't for the life of me catch up. Nonetheless I still wanted to share with you my mani for Vday that consisted of one of Dollish Polish's Vday polishes called "Ever Thine, Ever Mine".

Ever Thine, Ever Mine is an oxblood jelly polish with ruby, black, and garnet micro glitter, and a smattering of holo glitter throughout.

I cannot say enough good things about this polish!! It is so gorgeous! My photos do it no justice. I used 3 coats as it did apply fairly sheer but it was easy to apply. Absolutely gorgeous! I think it would pop even more with a good red undie but it's still beautiful on its own.

If you'd like to get your hands on this beauty, or any of their other fabulous polishes head on over to Dollish Polish's website.

Isn't this color super fabulous?!? :)

Until next time
