Firework Nail Art

Hello Readers:

I was finally able to do some nail art, and really hope to find the time to do some more soon. :) In this nail art I used Lucky 13 Lacquer's "Purple Drank" which was a creation made by Iced Lacquer at a polish party Kyoti of Lucky 13 Lacquer hosted. The polish was such a hit and was released while supplies lasted. It is now sold out but can be requested if you don't mind the large dot glitter not being apart of the polish.

Anyways, onto the nail art. I have used Lucky 13 Lacquer's "Purple Drank" as a base and BMC Iced Silver Stamping Polish with Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-H14.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. It was my first time using the BMC stamping polishes so I wasn't sure how well they would work, but I think the polish worked very well for stamping. I'll definitely be trying more BMC stamping polishes in the future.

What do you think of the fireworks?

Until next time.

Review: "Surf My Wave" from Colors by Llarowe

Hello Readers:

My sincerest apologies for the lack of posts lately. I thought I could keep a normal schedule before my husbands surgery this past Monday, but alas it was not meant to be. Everything has gone well and he is home taking it easy after his post op appointments. So today things are starting to get back on track. I was able to do a load a of laundry, mow the lawn, put dinner in the crockpot, walk my dog and now editing photos and typing this post before going out to run some errands.

Today I have a beautiful polish for you from Colors by Llarowe's Summer 2014 collection. "Surf My Wave" is a medium blue holo.

Boy does this beauty sparkle! And you know I love me some sparkle haha "Surf My Wave" went on very smooth, no application issues or staining. I used two coats over a clear base and a clear top coat. This blue is definitely great for a bright summer's day whether at the beach or just out and about around town.

"Surf My Wave" is currently out of stock but there are still plenty of beautiful Colors by Llarowe polishes in stock over at Llarowe.com if you'd like to own some for yourself.

Until next time.

Review: "Eerie" from Picture Polish.

Hello Readers:

It has been awhile since I've put up a Picture Polish color, and about time I have haha. Today's color is a blogger collaboration with Emily from Very Emily. The inspiration is said to come from a dew covered plant during a foggy sunrise.

"Eerie" is a lilac purple holo.

Isn't the color just lovely?!? I adore purples and this one just won my heart! I even played around with top coats, and used a matte top coat to see what it would look like. I used two coats of polish over a clear base coat, and a clear or matte top coat. I has no application issues, it went on very smoothly. I'd also just like to say that I found the holo to be subtle, and came across a lot as flashes of pinks and blues which I really liked especially with the matte top coat.

If you'd like to have this polish you can get it direct from the Picture Polish website or from one of the stockists like Llarowe.

Until next time.

Review: "Refresh...ing" from Colors by Llarowe

Hello Readers:

My apologies for not getting this post up yesterday, I was quite under the weather yesterday. Hopefully the medication from the doctor will help and I can finally get back to a normal routine. Yesterday was the day people were coming together to do green manis to help spread awareness about depression with the hashtags #fightforlifeandlive and/or  #fightforlightandlive. Unforunately, I wasn't able to participate.

Today's polish "Refresh...ing" is from Colors by Llarowe's Summer 2014 collection, and is an aqua green linear holo with a blue flash.

Isn't it just a beautiful aqua green?!? At first I thought it would be more a teal, but once it's on it is a bright beautiful aqua green. It went on smooth and easy. I used two coats of polish over a clear base and a clear top coat. Such a lovely polish, I couldn't stop staring at my nails and smiling.

Not that you would ever know but I am now typing with one hand as my dog got all sneaky and made me think she was slipping off of the top of the couch. So I put my laptop to the side and reached out to help her, and she slid into my lap and curled up to sleep with my one arm pinned under her. LOL And just cuz my camera is nearby here is a couple photos of her.

My sneaky little cuddle bug

Okay, now back on topic. If you'd like to own "Refresh...ing" you can find it at Llarowe.com

Until next time.
