One Year Blogaversary!

Hello Readers:

Today is my ONE YEAR BLOGAVERSARY! YAY! One year ago today I began my little journey into the world of Indie Nail Polish, and boy what a journey it has been. There were ups and downs, but mainly ups as I have had a ton of fun along the way.

I have encountered many lovely polish enthusiasts like myself, discovered MANY AMAZING makers (too many to name!), and have dipped into so many types of polish (ie. glitter, crème, jelly, textured, matte, glow-in-the-dark, etc). It's just amazing what can go from an idea into a little bottle, and onto my nails.

I have a wonderful giveaway planned for my one year blogaversary, but it will be a downer to certain people as this time around I must limit my giveaway. I know I usually have giveaways open internationally, but this time around I have to limit it to USA and Canada only. I apologize but there is a lot of things going on right now, and I just can't afford the shipping costs. If you have someone in either country that will mule for you then please do feel free to enter, but otherwise just USA and Canada.

Now onto the two lovely prizes I have available to win.

Prize number one includes: Gloss48 Exclusive Literary Lacquer "Mr. Darcy and Ms. Bennett" limited edition duo, Colors by Llarowe "Young Turks", SeaLore Polish "Crushin' It", and BKD Signature "Space Sauce" ring.

IMG Source: Literary Lacquer

I kept the duo in their original packaging so I have a photo of the duo from the one posted on Literary Lacquer's Facebook page when she announced the sale.

Prize number two includes: My Ten Friends "Starry Night", Darling Diva Polish limited edition glitter topper "Shop Til Ya Drop", SeaLore Polish limited edition glow-in-the-dark "Seafetti", Colors by Llarowe "Polishing Under the Influence", and BKD Signature "Mr. Universe" Tree of Life necklace.

Disclaimer: All prizes were bought by me for you. This giveaway is open to USA and Canada residents only, but I will ship to a mule if someone international has one. Once the prize is in the hands of the postal service I am no longer responsible for it. The giveaway will run until the end of the month. The winners will have 48hrs to contact once the email has been sent. Thank you all and Good luck!

Review: "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" from My Ten Friends

Hello Readers:

I have another polish from My Ten Friends' Geek Speak Collection. Today I have the glitter topper polish aptly named "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby". "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" is also a limited edition polish.

"Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" is a glitter topper packed full of iridescent glitter in a bunch of different shapes, including hexes, shreds, and micro glitter.

Below are photos of the polish in 4 coats by itself over a clear base coat and no top coat.

In truth, when I first began applying this polish I had completely forgotten this was the glitter topper of the collection. It wasn't until the third coat I remembered, but I still think it was worth it to show you the polish on its own. The iridescence is beautiful, but it turns into a stunner over a base coat.

Below are photos of "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" over "Quantum Singularity".

The photos show one coat of "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" over two coats of "Quantum Singularity". Isn't it just lovely?! I think the glitter topper brought this polish to a whole different level. But just wait until you see the next ones, the next set of photos are my favorite!

The below photos show "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" over "Area 51".

The photos show one coat of "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" over two coats of "Area 51". Isn't it lovely?!? I especially love "Gimme Some Sugar, Baby" over this paler shade but it really does look great over many shades. I think it'll give the most pop to shades of black, blue and purple though.

This polish is currently sold out, but definitely check out the My Ten Friends website to nab yourself some of their other incredible polishes.

Now this is my last post until I get back from holidays in a couple of weeks so be sure to keep an eye on my Facebook page to know when my next post will be.

Until we meet again.

Spring Fling Nail Art

Hello Readers:

I have some more nail art for you today. It's simple but super colorful! I honestly love this one, and think it's great for spring! In think mani I've used Liquid Sky Lacquer's "Forget Me Not, Darling Diva Polish's "Rose Diamond", Jindie Nails' "Sparkle On The Vine", Girly Bits "Get Weaponized".

I used Forget Me Not as my base color, then did Rose Diamond on half my nails (except the two with Jindie Nails), and used Sparkle On The Vine glitter topper on two fingers. Finally I used Get Weaponized to accent the break in colors between Forget Me Not and Rose Diamond.

I personally love how this mani turned out! The colors are gorgeous! I'm definitely on a vibrant color kick. More spring nail art to come with my next post.

Until next time.

Review: "Space Party" from My Ten Friends

After having failed to remove the staining from my previous mani I decided to try out a sparkly polish to cover it up. I decided to try out Space Party from My Ten Friends. I want to apologize now for the awful photos. I just couldn't seem (for the most part) to get an angle that showed how beautiful this polish is. Sadly, they mostly came out looking like a mess of sparkles on my nails.

1 base coat, 3 coats polish, 1 clear top coat

Space Party is a clear based polish chalk full of different shapes and sizes of red, purple, silver, black and holo glitters. This polish would make a fun topper but you can wear it on its own as I have by using three coats to reach opacity. The application went on smooth and there was no trouble getting all the different glitters.

So gorgeous!

I will admit I had my doubts about loving this polish. I wasn't sure I would love it. I liked it, but didn't love it when I bought it at the time. I just didn't think you could wear it all on its own, but boy was I wrong! This definitely wasn't just a fun topper. It really can be worn on its own and despite alot of my awful pictures this polish is so much fun! I can't wait to bring a little space party to the next party I go to ^_^

Until next time
