Alien Stamping Nail Art

Hello Readers:

I looooved my mani with Midnite Meteor from Picture Polish, but I knew, I KNEW that I had to use my new MoYou scifi stamping plates on this polish. I think that I did pretty good for my second time using my stamper. It's still not perfect, but I'm definitely in love with this mani!

I used Picture Polish "Midnite Meteor", and BB Couture "Laguna Lagoon" along with MoYou scifi plates 1 & 3 to get my aliens, stars, and astronaut. Love love love this! I know the lighting isn't great in all the pictures but I found the more light I had, the more glare I caught on my nails so I had to go with darker lighting.

There are a couple of flaws from my stamping, but overall I think it is great, and so much fun! I'm kind of in love with my scifi MoYou plates. I may need to buy more in the future, and as I improve with my stamping abilities it gets more and more fun to do!

If you would like to get your hands on these AWESOME stamping plates you can get them from MoYou London, and if you would like either of these lovely polishes you can get them from BB CouturePicture PolishOverallBeauty or Llarowe.

Until next time.

Review: "Spacebound" from My Ten Friends

Hello Reader(s):

I have a super gorgeous glitter bomb for you today! I honestly never thought something would even come close to moving My Ten Friends' Starry night from my number 1 favorite spot. Today's polish "Spacebound" from My Ten Friends is now tied as my favorite glitter bomb polish.

Now this is actually a reformulation of the original Spacebound. Some of glitter that was used in the original Spacebound was discontinued so it needed to be redone. I do not have a bottle of the original so unfortunately I don't know what the original looks like but I LOVE the reformulation!

The new Spacebound has a navy blue base (but I think it looks more indigo personally) with purple, blue, and silver hex glitter in various sizes.

This is so gorgeous!!! And it goes on smoothly!! I used 1 clear base coat, 2 coats polish, and 2 coats clear top coat to make it all smooth. It's simply stunning!!! Love it sooo much! If you'd love to get your hands on this beauty keep an eye out on the My Ten Friends Facebook for upcoming restocks of this lovely polish. If you'd like to check out their other available glitter bombs go check out the My Ten Friends website.

Don't you all just LOVE this color combo?!? :)

Until next time.

Review: "Solar Dragon" from My Ten Friends

Hello Reader(s):

I'm sorry this post is so late. The hubby has recently become very ill so I just haven't had the time to make any posts. He is doing well enough today that I'm able to sneak in this post (finally!). Also as I am still healing from my eye surgery that I had earlier this year I still have to be careful to make sure not to accidentally poke myself in the eye so I've had to cut my nails short again. So sadly length will be an issue for a little while longer.

Now onto today's post. Another wonderful glitter bomb from My Ten Friends. This time it's even a color palette I don't normally go for, but when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. It is called "Solar Dragon" and is part of the summer collection. Solar dragon was inspired by NASA's photo of super hot plasma erupting from the sun's surface (aka a dragon tail)

NASA's photo of a dragon tail

1 base Elmer's, 3 coats polish, 1 clear top coat

Solar Dragon is a firey polish chalk full of different sized hexes in red orange and gold with an orangey red glitter based. This polish definitely lives up to its inspiration and is a stunner! I look awful in all shades of orange and yellow and most shades of red but seeing this polish I knew I still had to have it. The firey sparkle of this polish is bound to make you swoon.

If you would like to get your hands on this hot polish head on over to My Ten Friends' website, it is currently sold out but keep an eye on their Facebook page to find out when it will be restocked.

Until next time.

Review: "Space Opera" from My Ten Friends

Hello Reader(s)

Today I'll be talking about "Space Opera" from My Ten Friends which was inspired by summer sunsets.
Source: Google Images

Space Opera is a purple based (well more a blurple base in certain light) with different sized hex glitters in purple, pink and gold. I think this polish really embodies the sunset above, but see for yourself below.

1 base Elmer's, 3 coats polish, 1 clear top coat

This polish goes on a little sheer so I needed 3 coats for opacity, definitely a stunner though. Maybe I'm a little partial to it because I love purple, but this is a great polish. I didn't have any application issues.

This is part of the My Ten Friends Summer collection, and is a limited edition polish. Once she runs out of supplies for this polish she won't be making it anymore. It is currently sold out at her website: MTF but feel free to check out the MTF Facebook page for upcoming restocks.

Until next time

Review: "Space Party" from My Ten Friends

After having failed to remove the staining from my previous mani I decided to try out a sparkly polish to cover it up. I decided to try out Space Party from My Ten Friends. I want to apologize now for the awful photos. I just couldn't seem (for the most part) to get an angle that showed how beautiful this polish is. Sadly, they mostly came out looking like a mess of sparkles on my nails.

1 base coat, 3 coats polish, 1 clear top coat

Space Party is a clear based polish chalk full of different shapes and sizes of red, purple, silver, black and holo glitters. This polish would make a fun topper but you can wear it on its own as I have by using three coats to reach opacity. The application went on smooth and there was no trouble getting all the different glitters.

So gorgeous!

I will admit I had my doubts about loving this polish. I wasn't sure I would love it. I liked it, but didn't love it when I bought it at the time. I just didn't think you could wear it all on its own, but boy was I wrong! This definitely wasn't just a fun topper. It really can be worn on its own and despite alot of my awful pictures this polish is so much fun! I can't wait to bring a little space party to the next party I go to ^_^

Until next time

Review: "First Contact" from My Ten Friends

So first off I just want to talk about the organic nail polish remover I got, and the only thing that comes to mind is I LOVE IT! Love, love, love it! This stuff doesn't stink, doesn't burn my skin, and takes off my nail polish even easier than the chemical one did. It is called Karma Organics Nail Polish Remover. It comes in 3 'scents'. I chose the unscented version and may try their other two later on. Seriously if you're looking for an organic nail polish remover you need to grab this stuff.

Just an fyi if you do want to try this nail polish remover... it is soy based so if you have an allergy to soy i'm afraid you'll need to look elsewhere. If you do not have a soy allergy this stuff ROCKS!

Now onto the nail polish review of "First Contact" from My Ten Friends.

This is a nude based glitter polish that has different sized black and silver glitter and a bunch of holo glitter as well. It is soooo gorgeous. I think to make this polish pop I would use a nude or champagne base color in the future, but even by itself this polish is gorgeous and sparkles a ton in the sunlight. I actually (FINALLY!) got some sunshine this week so I was able to get some sunlight shots, and tried my best to capture the awesome sparkle this polish has.

Another great polish from My Ten Friends. If you're looking for a glamorous sparkle to add to  your night out definitely put some of this on! I may even wear this to a formal function I have later this year if it goes with the dress I ordered. So lovely!

Can't wait to share more awesome polishes with you all!

Until next time
