Review: "Tricky" from Nail Pattern Boldness

Hello Readers,

Things have definitely been a little crazy the last few weeks, hopefully next week will go back to a more normal pace. Nonetheless, I have a beauty of a polish for you today. A microglitter bomb polish from Nail Pattern Boldness' Magpie Collection.

"Tricky" is a light pink microglitter polish with green and lavender accents.

Isn't it just so gosh darn PRETTY?!?! I really love this color scheme, and it was so easy to get full opacity! I used three coats of polish over a clear base coat with a clear top coat. I love everything about this polish. It's so sparkly, and a great color combination for any season, and has a kind of textured finish to it because it's so chalk full of glitter. LOVE IT!

If you'd like to get your hands on this polish (or any other of Nail Pattern Boldness' polishes) you can check out their Etsy Shop, or you can check out their stockist LLarowe.

Until next time.

Review: "Nice Melons" from Colors By Llarowe

Hello Readers:

I apologize, I dropped the ball once again with my post. This post was supposed to be up yesterday but I was very under the weather yesterday (maybe it's the heat, maybe I'm coming down with something who knows...). Either way I was not able to get my post up yesterday, along with some nail mishaps (one hand has shorties, the other has extreme shorties... bah!).

However, today I have a BEAUTY for you! One that makes me smile despite all the mishaps. It is from Colors by Llarowe's summer 2014 collection. I have for you today "Nice Melons" a coral holo polish.

The last two photos was me playing with lighting, they were taking when the sun was behind some clouds close to sunset. The others were full sun. Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?!?!? And guess what? Not only is this a fabulous color but this is ONE coat! ONE coat of polish over a clear base and a clear top coat. So much greatness in one bottle! I'm not really into oranges or pinks, but this coral is gorgeous! So glad I snagged a bottle!

If you would like to get a bottle of "Nice Melons" for yourself, I believe Llarowe has started to keep colors in stock now, so you should definitely go check out their website for this and other great colors.

Until next time.

Review: "Fangorn" from The Lady Varnishes

Hello Readers:

First, I would just like to apologize about not having a post up yesterday. A bunch of things happened that I won't go into, but suffice to say the last throwback Thursday won't be happening. Although, maybe now and again I might throw one in there just to reminisce about some past favorites.

Now onto today's post which I am super happy for! I have another polish from The Lady Varnishes Middle-Earth collection, this one inspired by Fangorn Forest. "Fangorn" is a dark green matte polish with emerald and sapphire microglitter.

Have I told you how much I love her Middle-Earth collection?!? If not (and even if I have) I FREAKING LOVE her Middle-Earth collection. I really adore her matte polishes. They're so gorgeous and each is unique, whether they have added shimmer, microglitter, or whatever. They are all so beautiful!

And I think Fangorn might end up being one of my favorites of the collection. I really love this shade of green and the hint of sparkle is beautiful! I used two coats of polish over a clear base coat, and no top coat.

Seriously, if you haven't already check out The Lady Varnishes Etsy shop for some fabulous polishes!

Until next time.

Water Marbling with Above the Curve Ultra Holo Collection

Hello Readers:

I decided to try my hand at some water marbling again. This time I decided to use Above the Curve's Ultra Holo collection, which includes a purple, pink, blue and a nude holo polish.

I really like how this turned out, this was actually my second attempt at it. The fist time I tried it I only used a clear base coat and the colors were very muted. For my second attempt (which is shown in pictures) I used a white undies before water marbling, which made the colors pop a lot more.

I think this turned out to be my most successful attempt at water marbling to date. I still need more practice at it, but I think it turned out really well. The colors are beautiful and the shapes are interesting.

If you'd like to get your hands on Above the Curve's Ultra Holo collection it is available over at their Etsy shop.

Until next time.

Review: "Dixon Hill, Private Investigator" from Lucky 13 Lacquer

Hello Readers:

I have a lovely polish from Lucky 13 Lacquer for you today, from her Star Trek inspired line. This polish was named after the character Dixon Hill from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

"Dixon Hill, Private Investigator" is a khaki linear holo crelly polish. Sadly I had very overcast weather and the sun only peeked out a bit so I didn't fully capture the greatness of the holo in this polish, but it is still lovely.

Such a lovely polish isn't it? I'm still bummed I couldn't showcase the holo better (because its great!), but this is still a great polish. I had no application issues. I used two coats of polish over a clear base coat and a clear top coat.

There are plenty of awesome polishes available, including this one and the rest of the Star Trek collection (trust me if you're Trekkie you'll want to check it out) so please do check out Lucky 13 Lacquer's website.

Until next time.

Throwback Thursday: "Peonie" from Darling Diva Polish

Hello Readers:

It's another throwback Thursday! Today's feature is "Peonie" from Darling Diva Polish. This was my very first Darling Diva Polish, and still one of my favorites!

Here are my first photos of this polish: Original Post

The label on the second photo was actually added after the original post when I was first learning about labelling my photos, and I was still learning to crop and use my macro setting.

Here are the updated photos:

Such a beautiful polish! And I was even able to capture the holo in the sun along with the green/silver shimmer in the shade. Personally one of my favorite Darling Diva Polishes.

Until next time.
