Review: "Illusionist" from Picture Polish

Hello Readers:

It is finally here! The last installment of the LE (limited edition) polishes from Picture Polish: "Illusionist". Illusionist is a scattered holo with color shifting pigments. The colors shift from teal to purple and even a little blue.

Illusionist is similar to Aurora but I find Aurora has brighter colors, whereas Illusionist is deeper in hue. This post will be a bit picture heavy like the rest have been (some photos will be intentionally blurry to help so the color shift), and as usual I'll start off with a few pictures of Illusionist by itself with no undies.

Three coat of Illusionist by itself.

As you can see like most of the other LE polishes, Illusionist is quite sheer on its own, though the glitter is very prominent. It also doesn't have much of a color shift to it on its own, it needs the help of undies to bring it out, so in the rest of the photos I have layered one coat of Illusionist over 2 coats of black (Carpe Notem's "Under Cover of Night").

Definitely a keeper! This polish is gorgeous! I think I may like this one more than Aurora but I think I'm going to try them side by side the next time I use them so I can decide for sure. The color palette is gorgeous!

If  you would like to see the other polishes click on the links to see: AuroraGravitySolar Flare, and Altered State.

Llarowe just had a restock of the LE polishes, so  you may still have a chance to get some of these, click their link to see if they still have some in stock (or look through the rest of the stock): Llarowe

You can also check out Picture Polish to see their other polishes and a full list of their stockists.

It's hard for me to decide on just one (top 3 being Gravity, Solar Flare, and Illusionist). Do you have a favorite or are you like me and having a hard time deciding on just one?

Until next time.

PS. Since I dedicated quite a few posts to showcase these swatches at least 3 upcoming posts will be some nail art I'm trying out.

Review: "Altered State" from Picture Polish

Hello Readers:

Next in our installment of Picture Polish LE (limited edition) polishes is "Altered State". Altered State is a scattered holo with color shifting pigments. It shifts from blue to purple, and at extreme angles it shifts from red to orange.

Altered state is similar to Gravity, but I find the Altered State has deeper shades than Gravity. This post will be a little picture heavy like the rest, and as usual we will start with photos that show Altered State by itself, without undies.

I used 3 coats of Altered State by itself.

As you can see by itself, it is pretty sheer, and has very little color shift, though the holo is prominent. The next ones are 1 layer of Altered State over 2 coats of black (Carpe Noctem's "Under Cover of Night")

This is yet another beauty, as you can see. It didn't capture my heart like Gravity did, but it is still beautiful. It goes on easy and smooth, but it really needs the help of undies for the color shifting to show full force.

If you would like to see the other LE polishes I've reviewed so far click on the links to check out: AuroraGravity, and Solar Flare.

Sadly, this polish is currently sold out but if you'd like to check out other polishes Picture Polish has come out with (or to see their full stockist list) check out their website. Or you can head on over to Llarowe or OverallBeauty to see what these US stockists have in stock.

The next post will be the last in the LE bunch, Illusionist.

Until next time.

Review: "Solar Flare" from Picture Polish

Hello Readers:

For my next installment of the LE (limited edition) Picture Polish collection is "Solar Flare". Solar Flare is a multi-colored scattered holo that shifts from red to orange to gold, and a bit of brown at certain angles (though maybe that's only when it is set over black).

Again, like the others this post will be a bit picture heavy, and to start off will be the photos of Solar Flare by istelf no undies. I used 3 coats of Solar Flare, no undies.

I have to admit that this polish builds up pretty well, and pretty beautiful all on its own, but just wait until you see the ones layered over black ("Under Cover of Night" from Carpe Noctem.)

Wow, just wow. This polish is gorgeous! I don't usually go for oranges/yellows because they look awful with my skin tone but I just don't care with this polish. This polish is just amazing! The color shifting is just glorius! This one is right up there with Gravity with its gorgeousness!

If you want to see the other ones I've done so far  you can click for Aurora or click for Gravity. The others to come soon.

I know that this beauty is currently sold out, but you can check out their website for their other polishes and a full list of stockists at Picture Polish. As well you can check out two of their US stockists who have other Picture Polishes currently in stock, head on over to Llarowe or OverallBeauty.

Until next time.
